Here's some tips on how to be mentally prepared for the master cleanse.
Before you participate in the master cleanse, you need to ask yourself why you would want to do it. Is it because you want to shed a few pounds? Or are you sick and tired of always being ill?
Write down all the reasons on a piece of paper or post it note. This way you can remind yourself why your doing it, and why you can't give up.
Now plan a day that you would want to start. Eat your last favorite meal the day before. Plan your schedule accordingly. If you have to be somewhere at a certain time or date, then schedule the cleanse for when you have at least 10 days to spare.

You should also plan some activities that you enjoy doing for these 10 days. This will help distract you from all the hunger and food cravings, and will help hill a lot of time.
Set up some goals for yourself. Tell yourself "After this cleanse, life is gonna be so much better". No motivation is better than self-motivation.
Plan ahead and buy everything you need at once, so that you won't run out of ingredients in the middle of the 10 day cleanse period.
Many people uses "running out of ingredients" as an excuse to quit the master cleanse half way through. DON'T be that person.
You do not need to tell many people that you are doing the master cleanse. Just tell the few that are close to you, that you know will support you. You do not need any negative comments to discourage you.
